United States governmental resources regarding environmental justice and relevant environmental law

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is the central Federal resource for environmental concerns, including EJ. The EPA's EJ Home connects to information on grants, community resources, strategic and financial planning resources, and collaborative projects with communities, non-profits, and other organizations. The EPA was created in 1970 in response to concerns about the environmental impacts of human activities and serves as the Environmental Impact (EI) repository for NEPA compliance. Note that the EPA's programs and initiatives may vary depending on the residing administration.
